Vegas: the buses

Today’s plan was simple. Get up, go to a gourmet popcorn shop, go to a cupcake store, the head to the Mirage to see Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. And after I walked up to the nearest bus stop, which conveniently happened to be outside a 7/11, I even tweeted that plan.

See, all official. Except that the popcorn place was a long way out and I discovered that there’s one in the casino I’m going to Wednesday evening, so I skipped that.

I got the cupcakes. I had a Groupon for two dozen mini ones but cos they didn’t have as wide a selection as usual, the lovely (and cute) lady gave me four regular ones for free as well!

I did some shopping in the dollar store next door, then sat outside there in the shade for a while cos it was very hot and I was very tired.

Then I got on the bus and just kinda stayed there. On several buses actually. I just rode the two main buses up and down the strip. Takes longer than you think, but you get to see some lovely things, and it helped me plan the next few days.
