Yesterday I didn’t post my plan for the day on Facebook in case it all went to pot again. But I actually stuck to it fairly well. First up with CSI Experience which was very cool. Interesting and fun, and then the photo shoot at the end. I look like a complete nutter!
On the way out of there I was approached by a staff member of the CBS television centre. This is just round the corner from CSI and you get to watch new shows and give them feedback. It was free, so I went ahead.
Unfortunately it was a show I’d already seen, but the process was interesting, and I now know how Nielsen ratings works. And you get given an envelope of vouchers at the end. All nicer printed versions of the ones you can get anywhere, but the gesture was nice.
Quick pit stop at Blizz for dessert….
..and Nathan’s Famous for lunch…
…then I was sat at the video roulette again.
I actually did quite well, but should probably have stopped there. I put in $30, at one point I had over $100, but when I eventually left I had none. But I don’t mind! because I had an entertaining two hours (and a really bad Screwdriver). Look at the number nerd fun in this first picture!
So after I’d lost my money, I decided to lose some more. Shopping!! First the Grand Canyon Experience Gift Shop for some randomness…
I may have been lured back into here…
But I only brought a magnet and a jumbo candy cane.
But then I went in here…
Where I may have spent a bit more.
As well as seeing a really quite cool free ten minute 3D movie called “I Lost My M In Vegas”.
By now I was completely knackered, a wee bit overheated and my ankles were screaming at me, so I headed back to the hotel for a rest. After spending an hour in the damn check in queue. By the time I got to the front I thought I was gonna be sick and pass out at the same time. But I made it safely to my room and had time for a rest before I headed to Rio for the show I’ve been most excited for.
It was so freaking cool! I was three rows from the front and had a perfect view.
Penn was hilarious, Teller was creepy and cute and talented all at the same time. Most of my favourite bits of the show were his tricks. Brilliant. And I got autographs afterwards!
I got pictures with them too, but they’re on my other camera that I can’t get the pictures of til I get home.
I got a few pictures of the pretty bits of Rio before I fell into a taxi home. Insanely relieved that I could have two early nights the next two days.
