100 Zentangle Challenges – 6 & 7

Here are two more.  First up, “use your overlapped initials as your string”:

I dithered over whether or not to give the string a thicker outline like in some of my pieces, but in the end (as you can see) I chose not to.  I like it as it is.  Although my friend says it looks like a deformed elephant.

Second challenge: “pick two colours to work with”.  I decided to do a standard zentangle in a string that was supposed to be a mobius symbol but ended up being special all on its own, and highlighted in red.

I don’t hate the result, but I’m not in love with it either.  And most annoyingly, I can’t quite pinpoint why I don’t like it.  I might have another go at this one at some point.
