Challenge 181 is the next Tackle It Tuesday – to use tangles beginning with S.  I’ve used Stringray, Strawn, Sun Up Sun Down, Striping, Strircles, Scales and Smig Dots.  I really like this piece.  It’s a lot like the pieces I did when I first started.

Challenge 184 is one from a website called Whimsy and Zen.  I’m not sure yet if it’s part of a series – I’m still scrolling through the site’s backlog.  But it’s a very different type of challenge, so I thought I’d have a go.  Kelly, the blogger, posted a picture for us to tangle from.

See what I mean about different?  I didn’t want to print it of because I felt things wouldn’t be smooth, so I drew it out myself.

And here’s what I did with it…

Challenge 185 is the Wacky challenge for 13th July – to incorporate buttons

Challenge 186 is Diva challenge #176 – another unusual one, it’s entitled “bring your own beverage”.  And the challenge is to incorporate your drink in your piece.  Lots of people (including the guest prompter) have been actively spilling drinks of their tiles – which is quite frankly terrifying!  But I did it.  I drink apple and blackcurrant squash most of the time, so I was hoping for a nice purple stain, but it faded to this odd looking blue.  Still it’s an interesting challenge.

I haven’t quite finished this piece yet.  It’s taking a bit longer than I’d expected.  But I wanted to share what I have so far.
