As you may know by now, I give myself a yearly challenge every year. Sometimes a couple. This year, one of my challenges is to put exactly 52 things in a jar. One thing for every week.
Here is my jar.
It has sticky residue on it, so I was going to create a new label. But then I thought that it’d be cool to make a jar cozy, so that by the end of the year I don’t remember what things I’ve put in it. I haven’t finished it yet, so you’ll have to wait for the next update to see what it looks like.
I’d like to put in things that mean something, rather than just random nonsense. And since I’ve been playing with Hama beads so far this year, I decided to make a little piece for the jar.
I did consider just putting in a single bead. It would be fairly easy to put only very teeny tiny things in each week and end up with a half empty jar (or half full). But I think that there’s more of a challenge in trying to fill up the jar. So I’m going to use as few teeny tiny things as I can manage. Thing One was simple enough. How was Thing Two?
At the end of week 2 I sat for a moment to think about what was significant in the last few days. Mostly, it was this…
I bought a load of bead storage boxes, and I was slicing the little hanger things off with an exacto knife. And I ended up bleeding everywhere. Even had a nice quick trip to A&E. So Thing Two is one of these…
