The other day I posted about the fabulous Wintergatan Marble Machine. I found out about it from the Tumblr page of This Is Colossal. Today I found another piece of wonderfulness from them, which just makes me itch.
It’s a series of photos called “In Anxious Anticipation” by a magazine called Kinfolk. And, for me at least, they do exactly what the editorial team set out to do: “produce a series of images that would bring their audience apprehension” – Quote from This Is Colossal.
The article on Kinfolk begins with this paragraph:
A telltale thump of the heart, the flush feeling that starts in your chest and spreads to your fingertips, the tightening of muscles and the quickening of breath: The effects of adrenaline are positively pulse-pounding, but the physical whoosh we feel in our bodies actually starts in our brains.
Even that itself is beautiful. The pictures are astounding. Here are my favourites.
