Bucket List Bonanza – The Fails

I posted my Bucket List Bonanza Round Up a few days ago, but I thought I’d write a little about the items I attempted, and failed at.

Item 34 – go tech free for a week.  Yeah, I tried this for a weekend as a tester.  Fail.  I can’t live without the internet!!

Item 158 – meet Wil Wheaton.  In 2016, Wil Wheaton was at a convention in the UK for the first time in 20 years!!  I was going to go to Destination Star Trek, in Birmingham in October.  But then one of my cats got sick and the vet’s bill increased rapidly.  Given that my income had halved in previous months anyway, I was unable to afford to go.  Which really really sucked.  But I’m not giving up on this one.

Item 368 – keep a plant alive for a year.  I have notoriously black thumbs.  I have killed cacti.  I killed a plastic plant!! (I forgot it was plastic and watered it.  It rotted.)  This year I purchased a cute little succulent in a glass cube way back in June…

…which I then promptly forgot about.

  1. Buy a dragon tree! I’ve had one since September 2011 and it’s still going. They appreciate neglect, but are big enough that you can’t ignore them to the point that they die. Water a little whenever you remember (once a month is probably fine), and when the bottom leaves dry out and die off it means it’s growing and you’re keeping it alive and thriving! I’ve actually had to repot mine several times, and prune it back!x
