Every year for the past four years or so, I’ve given myself a yearly challenge.
In 2018 I started late, and am doing a Slightly-More-Than-Half-Yearly Challenge to knit 2 mini aliens a week.
In 2017 I attempted a 10×10 game challenge, which failed after a few months due to lack of people to play with. I also challenged myself to finish all the blanket projects I had on the go – which I did, mostly. Unfortunately I started just as many new ones.
In 2016 I loaded myself up with challenges a little.
1 – rounding down my bank account to the nearest £1 at the start of each week (and not spending the savings). – this one failed.
2 – cross at least one thing off my Bucket List each week. – semi-successful.
3 – Bad Ass Cross Stitch‘s Year of Stitch. – failed, but will reattempt one day.
4 – r/movies Movie of the Week. – completed.
5 – the Smile Jar. – completed.
6 – Stash bust at least 50% of my stash. – failed.
7 – WIP bust at least 50% of my wips. – semi-successful.
In 2015 I successfully did a Post It Doodle for every day of the year, and I fit exactly 52 Things in a Jar.
In 2014, I successfully completed 250 Zentangle Challenges and 52 Crochet Blanket Patches. Many more than that actually. I completed both challenges in September.
In 2013 I attempted 52 Baking Challenges and failed, and I did a Discworldathon.
In 2012 I wrote a list of 2012 Fantabulous Things.
In 2011/12 I did Project 200 – which was to create 200 crafty pieces.
Also in 2011 I started to do Weekly Photo Missions, but I failed on those.
In 2010 I attempted 52 Challenges, donating money to charity for each challenge I failed.
In 2009 I attempted 52 New Things.
